The oldest cup competition in the world certainly has a rich history. It was first played in 1871-72 and was won by the Wanderers as they beat the Royal Engineers with a singe goal from Morton Betts. Even then, the competition offered great opportunities for trivia lovers as Betts actually played under a pseudonym - A.H. Chequer, the game was played in March (16 March 1872 to be precise) and it was played at a cricket ground - namely, The Kennington Oval. I could go on...
